CAD/CAE/CAM TECHNOLOGIES

CAD (Computer Aided Design)
It is a system that allows the design of objects by computer, presenting multiple advantages such as interactivity and ease of creating new designs, the possibility of simulating the behavior of the model before the construction of the prototype, modifying, if necessary, its parameters; the generation of plans with all kinds of views, details and sections, and the possibility of connecting with a computer-aided manufacturing system for the automatic machining of a prototype.
It also allows the design of three-dimensional objects such as the design of mechanical parts, the design of civil works, architecture, urban planning, etc.
In this example we observe SketchChair as a design tool
CAE (Computer Aided Engineering)
The geometric model of a product is the central element within the CAE concept and consists of its representation in the computer's memory. All other elements of the CAE use this geometric description as a starting point. For example, the part contour can be used to determine the tool pitch when machining by a numerical control system.
Example of design made with Origami Simulator

CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing)
It is a system that allows the use of computers in the industrial manufacturing control process, seeking its automation. In a modern system, automation encompasses the process of transportation, storage, machining or shaping, assembly and dispatch of the product,
